A HORSE AND A JEWELLER MEET IN TOWN… - Outside Rutledge Jewellers, at the corner of Brock and Church Streets, a small paddock made of straw bales held two horses, one of which was a miniature horse. The Uxbridge BIA hosted two successful downtown events — Boots and Bling Ladies’ Night and Spooky Saturday — drawing crowds for shopping, dancing, and Halloween fun. Regional Chair John Henry is on medical leave, and Education Minister Paul Calandra’s call for high schools to restore school-run proms has been rebuffed by Uxbridge Secondary. A councillor has been found by the township’s integrity commissioner to have engaged in harassment toward staff.
