21st century ‘Breakfast Club’ takes over Music Hall

Conformity is the jailer to freedom. In this teen drama, eight students who have nothing in common are sitting in detention on a Saturday. Although they are all so different from one other, they learn that they all do have something in common - each of them has a terrible secret. Something horrible has happened in their past which has brought them to this point. Sound like 1985’s hit film The Breakfast Club? Unlike The Breakfast Club, the audiences witnesses everything these teens have dealt with in their past as it plays out on stage! Will they connect on Monday morning? Time will tell.

Conformity is the latest offering from Stupefied Theatrical Productions, and is the result of the Stupefied’s teen Broadway Bound program. Broadway Bound is for any teen who is interested in working with professionals from both film and stage. Every participant has an opportunity to have a role with lines by participating in workshops and audition preparations, which makes them ready to audition once the program’s show has been chosen. Participants themselves choose the show by participating in a democratic vote.

Conformity runs July 10 - 14, with six shows at 7 p.m., and 1 p.m., at the Uxbridge Music Hall. For tickets and more information, visit starticketing.com
