Hospital Auxiliary volunteer named Senior of the Year

Long-time Uxbridge Hospital Auxiliary member Sandra Will received an Ontario Senior of the Year award on Tuesday in “recognition of her outstanding contributions to our community.”

Will, pictured here with regional councillor Bruce Garrod, has volunteered with the Auxiliary for 40 years, acting as everything from fundraiser to wayfinder to newsletter editor to president.

“Our community is fortunate to have Sandra,” said Mayor Dave Barton at the presentation. “The Township of Uxbridge council was pleased to support Sandra’s nomination.”
