Indoor trail reopens in November

As much as many don’t want to face it, the winter months are approaching, and bring with them snow-covered sidewalks and sometimes frigid temperatures. For those who wish to stay active, this can present a problem.

Beginning Monday, November 4, the Township of Uxbridge offers an indoor walking trail at Uxbridge Secondary School on Monday and Wednesday evenings to provide a safe and accessible fitness opportunity throughout the winter season. Strollers and mobility devices are welcome.

The walking trail is open between 6 and 8 p.m., on Mondays and Wednesdays except for holidays and school closures.

Participants can pay each time they go for a $5 drop-in fee (cash only) or purchase a membership for $40. Those interested in pre-registering for a membership can do so online through ActiveNet at Activity detail / Township of Uxbridge (activecommunities.com). The indoor walking trail will be offered until April 16, 2025.
