The Uxbridge Loaves and Fishes Food Bank recently received $10,000 from two local organizations, just in time to stock its shelves for the holiday season.

On Wednesday, Dec. 4, Peter Puhl (above, at left) and Francois Bessay (above, second from right), both representing “100 Men Who Care Uxbridge” gave a $1,900 cheque to Don Mertens (second from left) and Teresa Bunting (right).

The very next day, on Thursday, Dec. 5, “100 Women Who Care Uxbridge”presented the food bank with $8,100, its biggest donation since the group revived itself after a COVID-induced hiatus. From left: Kathy Clulow, Heather Stover and Jodi Bussiere. Clulow and Bussiere are on the 100 Women executive, Stover is the donations coordinator for the food bank.
