Roadwork updates

The Region has notified residents of a road closure on Brock Road (Regional Road 1) in the Township of Uxbridge and the City of Pickering this weekend, Sept. 21 and 22 (unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule).

Brock Rd. from north of Ninth Concession Road (Regional Road 5) to Uxbridge Pickering Townline will be closed for culvert replacement.

There will also be lane restrictions on Reg. Rd. 8, beginning Sept. 11 through to Sept. 27. These land restrictions will be in place between Owen Road and Conc. 6, while work is done to complete emergency bank stabilization. During the day, Reg. Rd. 8 will be reduced to one lane with traffic control on-site. During the night, the roadway will be opened to two lanes.

The Region says it realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
