Local children's theatrical educational program, Stupefied Theatrical Productions, is bringing giants to the stage of the Uxbridge Music Hall from June 12 to 16 with its production of “Sky Giants.”

Stupefied caters to three different age groups - JK to grade 4, grade 5 to 8, and teens to college-age.

“All of our cast members are guaranteed a role with lines regardless of their experience because it is a teaching program,” says executive creative director, Shira Forsythe. “No one auditions except for the Teen Broadway program, but even they have weeks of audition prep before the audition process.”

This month’s show is called “Sky Giants,” a magical story that explores the world of giants who live above the clouds.

The original story, written by Forsythe, goes as follows: Ever since leaving Earth a long time ago, the Giants have made a life up above, where their job is to keep the sky beautiful. They polish the stars, poke the clouds to let it rain and paint the sunsets. BUT, some Giants get a little too carried away and damage the sky. One curious Giant wonders what life is like on Earth. She convinces her two best friends to help her steal a key to the locked up “beanstalk” from the Elder Giants, and embarks on an adventure down below.

“What excites me most about this show is it's an all ages show,” says Forsythe. “You can bring your kids or grandkids and everyone can enjoy it. It's a sweet and funny story about family and friendship. It's a great way for the younger youth in our community to see their peers up on stage performing and having fun and maybe seeing if they would like to try the program and attempt to get up on stage themselves.”

Forsythe notes that fantasy shows are always fun to write and produce. “You can go a little out there and not worry about it being realistic.”

Stupefied will also be on stage in mid-July with its production of CONFORMITY, the Teen Broadway show.

“It’s like (the 80s movie) The Breakfast Club but on crack,” says Forsythe. CONFORMITY will be on stage from July 10 to 14.

Tickets for both “Sky Giants” and CONFORMITY are available now at starticketing.com
