Strawberry festival in Uxbridge this weekend

Downtown Uxbridge will be bursting with all things strawberry during a Strawberry Festival this weekend.

The Uxbridge Farmers’ Market will feature strawberries on Sunday, July 7, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. There will be more than 50 vendors with seasonal produce, lots of farm-fresh berries, specialty baked goods and preserves and much more. The market offers themed Kids’ Zone activities, live music performance by Hisko & Clarke, and perhaps the most fun of all - a pie-eating contest every hour on the hour from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Downtown Uxbridge BIA merchants are also celebrating the season, and many locations are offering their own twists on strawberry-inspired goods. From delicious treats to creative merchandise, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Manitea will feature a candied strawberry on a stick on July 5 and 6, and strawberry slushies at the Farmers’ Market on July 7. The Great Little Massage Company is offering complimentary Strawberry Rose Flow Water for anyone who books July 2 to 7. Preston Gallery will have “Strawberry” paint on sale - all red paint inspired by Stoneground's Strawberry Fields paint - will be 10% off in-store only for the weekend. FIG Kitchen & Market is featuring strawberry food items for the month of July including strawberry shakes, salads, lemonade, cocktails and brunch items.

Tin Restaurant has fresh Strawberry Shortcake on its menu, and The Bridge Social is offering a cookie bar with strawberry cream icing, and mini strawberry cheesecakes.

Here’s to strawberries!
