Business leaders invited to tariff town hall

Uxbridge Mayor Dave Barton and Stouffville Mayor Iain Lovatt/the Greater Stouffville Chamber are hosting a Tariff Town Hall meeting on March 27 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will be held virtually and in person at the Uxbridge Town Hall. Everyone is invited to participate, but business leaders are particularly encouraged to attend the meeting, which will provide a platform to share insights, explore potential solutions, and help shape the Township’s response efforts to U.S. tariffs. On a related note, the Uxbridge BIA is considering installing the Township's Canada Day banners earlier than normal as a gesture towards the U.S. tariffs threat and President Donald Trump's talk of annexing Canada. The banners could be going up within a couple of weeks.
