Get ready to Catch the Ace for the hospital

An online lottery that hopes to raise big money for the new hospital starts selling tickets today (Sept. 5), at 10 a.m.

The Rotary Club of Uxbridge is working with the Uxbridge Hospital Foundation to run the lottery, whose first draw - with a guaranteed first-week prize of $10,000 - happens at 9:30 a.m., Sept. 12.

All tickets for the Catch the Ace progressive lottery will be sold online, at uxhospitalace.ca and tickets must be purchased in Ontario. Purchasers must be at least 18 years old. Tickets will be available until Wednesdays at 11:59 p.m., and a draw will be held every Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. Tickets for the following week begin at 10 a.m., following the previous week’s draw.

Tickets are in several bundle options: $10 for 3, $20 for 10, $40 for 40, $60 for 100, and $80 for 200. There is no limit to the number of tickets being sold.

This new lottery expects to raise about $125,000 for the hospital and help equip physicians, nurses and clinical staff with tools and equipment in the new hospital.
