Open house to offer residents input on urban park plan

Lisha Van Nieuwenhove

The public consultation period for the Uxbridge Urban Provincial Park Preliminary Management Plan is still open for comment. In addition, Ontario Parks, Southeast Zone, is hosting an open house on January 16, 2025, from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Uxbridge Seniors Centre. This open house will give residents the opportunity to provide input on the management direction for the urban provincial park.

The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks has prepared a preliminary management plan for the urban provincial park that outlines the policies it proposes guide the park’s long-term protection, development and management - it is this proposal that is now available for public review and comment. Comments can be submitted at ero.ontario.ca

The comment period will close on January 26, 2025.

For input, questions, or to request a presentation, contact Kendra Couling, park planner at planning.sez@ontario.ca.
