Suspect wanted after painting anti-Semitic graffiti on school

A suspect is wanted after allegedly painting anti-Semitic graffiti on a school in Uxbridge.

On Sunday, Oct. 27, members of Durham Regional Police Service North Division responded to a hate crime in the area of Quaker Village Drive and Widdifield Court. A pedestrian called police after seeing anti-Semitic graffiti painted on the side of St. Joseph Catholic School.

Police believe the graffiti was painted between the evening of Saturday, Oct. 26, and the morning of Sunday, Oct. 27. Images of the graffiti are not being released, but police can confirm the messages did target Jewish people.

Anyone with cell phone, dash cam, surveillance footage, or information about this incident is asked to contact the North Division Central Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1505.
