‘Unapproved’ light show going to court one year later

Chief by-law officer Hilary Williams said at Monday’s council meeting that the unapproved Spooktacular Halloween light show last year will be in court in December for a pre-trial hearing.

The company went ahead with the light show on Brock Road, just north of the Uxbridge-Pickering town line, last year even after being denied permission by council. Charges were laid as a result.

Williams said the owner of the property on which the light show was staged has already appeared in court and was fined $10,000.
