Park preliminary management plan now available for public review

Ontario Parks, Southeast Zone, recently announced the start of the public consultation period for the Uxbridge Urban Provincial Park Preliminary Management Plan.

The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks has prepared a preliminary management plan for the urban provincial park that outlines the policies it proposes guide the park’s long-term protection, development and management. This proposal is now available for public review and comment. Comments can be submitted at ero.ontario.ca

The comment period opened last Wednesday, Nov. 27, and will close on January 26, 2025.

Ontario Parks is also hosting an open house on January 16, 2025, from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Uxbridge Seniors Centre, which will also give residents the opportunity to provide input on the management direction for the urban provincial park.
