Township has a milestone birthday party at Town Hall

A half-hour into Monday's council session, Mayor Dave Baron moved the meeting outside for the raising of a flag to mark the 50th anniversary of the current Township of Uxbridge. Today's Uxbridge came about in 1974 with the formation of Durham Region.

A large number of staff joined with the councillors for the flag-raising and then returned to council chambers for cake and coffee.
